The Next Step: Seriously?

Seriously?

8/22 - Wake up with swollen feet and eyes - Seriously?
9/5 - Two tires going flat - Seriously?
9/6 - Fall asleep sitting at the table - Seriously?
9/7 - Still have swollen feet & face = another medication - Seriously?
9/8 - Itchy rash for the first time in months - Seriously?
9/8 - Perform a song that I haven’t sung for 15 years; first practice with everyone only three hours prior with no accompanist and not on the stage and we only go through it twice - Seriously?
9/9 - Hematemesis in the middle of the night (one & done) - Seriously?
9/13 - IV in my foot (the 5th attempt) - Seriously?
9/13 - Reflux during endoscopy=minor complication - Seriously?
9/14 - So much pain I can’t swallow my own spit - Seriously?
9/15 - Some biblical insight....
II Kings 4 - The woman’s husband has died, she has no money, few belongings and now the creditors want to take her sons as slaves - Seriously? (Yes, I realize she had it much worse than I, and there’s a lot more to her backstory than one sentence.)
Then Elisha instructs her to do some things that seem a little crazy. First she borrows as many empty jars as she can. Then, even though she has only a little oil in her own jar, he tells her to pour oil into all of the empty jars. The oil keeps pouring out and keeps pouring out until the jars are all filled. They are able to sell the oil and voila, the obedient woman incurs a miracle and the abundant blessings of God. Seriously!!!

Results of IV Attempt #2--but my nails look great!

Even though trying to get an IV in took quite awhile, the mood was light. After the second attempt, the nurse said, "Oh that's gonna leave a mark." Then quickly put a bandaid on it. "Don't open 'til Christmas?" I asked. "Nope," she replied, "You really shouldn't open it until Christmas--I am sooo sorry."
